In the crowded space of jungle resorts, this is one with a difference. An interior setting, right on the banks of Ramganga river, makes this place quiet and perfect for the real nature lover. Five cottages made of local material in local style with modern toilet facilities and running hot and cold water ensure a comfortable stay. A well stocked library, bonfire and barbeque at night, knowledgeable and helpful staff all add to the experience.
You can enjoy local Pahari food of fruits and roots from the forest, delicious stinging nettles, wild figs, fern shoots and smoked goat or country chicken, or ask for regular fare. Either way, you are treated to freshly cooked sumptuous meals at the resort.
The Ramganga river flows by the resort, with sport fishing of the famed Mahaseer ( can grow to about 50kg/100+pounds!) a perfect activity while at the resort. Wildlife conservation and minimum impact on nature is given great importance at this resort. With great efforts, turtles and otters have returned to the waterways of the area. The local village community is also looked after with training, jobs and financial support.
A trip to this resort really brings you up close to nature and its creatures.
